The Department of commerce finance and Consumer awareness club organised a workshop on " Smart Shopping: Unmasking Corporate Green washing" on 25th Sep 2026 at Abdul Kalam Arangam. Dr. K. Priyatharsini,Assistant Professor,Sakthi Institute of Information and Management Studies Pollachi was the resource person of the programme. The Programme aims to create an awareness among students about Corporate green washing and its impact on consumers.
Outcome
The session highlighted green washing, consumer awareness, smart shopping and importance of product information and environmental claims before purchasing. 85 students got benefited from this programme.
