POLLACHI — June 21, 2026: NGM College (Autonomous), Pollachi, vibrantly celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga today, emphasizing the vital role of yoga in fostering a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The grand event was organized by the college’s Department of Human Excellence, in collaboration with the National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), and the Department of Physical Education.
The program commenced with a solemn invocation prayer, setting a serene and focused tone for the day. Conducted with exemplary organization and discipline, the session witnessed an impressive turnout of more than 250 students representing various academic departments. Faculty members, department heads, and coordinators also actively joined the students on the yoga mats.
During the session, participants diligently practiced the Common Yoga Protocol. The structured routines focused on enhancing physical fitness, sharpening mental well-being, managing daily stress, and cultivating holistic health. The attending students demonstrated keen interest and active involvement, seamlessly executing the various asanas and breathing exercises.
The event’s immense success is attributed to the seamless coordination and collective efforts of the Department of Human Excellence, NCC, NSS, and the Physical Education Department. Their endeavors were strongly backed by dedicated faculty members, energetic volunteers, and student coordinators who ensured the smooth execution of the entire program.
