Thiru S. Sivakumar (Mr. Sivasubramaniam Sivakumar) serves as the Treasurer of NGM College, Pollachi (Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College), a role he has held since May 2008. Hailing from a family known for its strong entrepreneurial background, Thiru Sivakumar brings a rare combination of international engineering education, hands-on manufacturing industry experience, and business leadership to the college’s financial governance.
A Strong Academic Foundation in Engineering
Thiru Sivakumar completed his undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering and Management at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, before pursuing further specialization abroad. He went on to earn his Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso, USA, equipping him with a globally informed perspective on modern engineering and industrial management practices.
International Industry Experience
Following his postgraduate studies, Thiru Sivakumar served as a Project Engineer at Titan Plastics Group in Michigan, USA, for four years, gaining valuable hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, project execution, and process engineering within the American plastics industry. This international exposure has shaped his practical, results-driven approach to institutional and business management alike.
Business Leadership at PLASTECH
At present, Thiru Sivakumar is the Managing Director of PLASTECH, Pollachi, where he applies his engineering expertise and manufacturing experience to lead the company’s operations and growth. His entrepreneurial acumen, honed through years of running a manufacturing enterprise, brings valuable financial and operational discipline to his role as Treasurer of NGM College.
