Dr. R. Nithyakala is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics with over 19 years of teaching and academic experience. She has an excellent academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Topology from Bharathiar University, along with M.Phil. in Topology, M.C.A., M.Sc., and B.Sc. degrees in Mathematics.
She is currently serving as an Associate Professor at NGM College, Pollachi, where she has contributed extensively to teaching, research, student mentoring, and academic activities. Her major area of research is Topology, with particular interest in Generalized Closed Sets, Continuous Functions, Nano Topological Spaces, and their applications.
Dr. Nithyakala has published 24 research papers in international journals and has actively participated in and presented papers at numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposia. She has also guided 4 M. Phil. scholars and 4 Ph.D. scholars, with one Ph.D. scholar currently pursuing research under her guidance.
Her research contributions extend to interdisciplinary applications of mathematical concepts, including Nano Topology, attribute reduction, optimization techniques, and computational applications. She has collaborated with research scholars on publications appearing in Scopus, Web of Science, and SCIE-indexed journals.
She is a Life Member of the Indian Science Congress Association and has received recognition for her academic contributions, including First Prize in a National-Level Paper Presentation. In addition to her teaching and research activities, she has actively contributed to outreach and academic enrichment programs, including conducting district-level quiz competitions for school students. With a strong combination of teaching experience, research expertise, academic publications, research guidance, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Dr. R. Nithyakala continues to contribute significantly to the field of Mathematics and higher education.
