Dr. Chithirai Selvan Mylsamy is an accomplished academician, researcher, and educator in the fields of Commerce, Business, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor–Senior Scale at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College, Coimbatore, where he has been associated since 2001. He has also served as Head of the Department from 2011 to 2017 and has contributed extensively to teaching, academic administration, student development, and institutional activities.

Dr. Chithirai Selvan holds a Ph.D. from Bharathiar University and possesses multiple postgraduate qualifications, including M.Com., MBA, M.Phil., MIM, M.Com. with Computer Applications, and PGDCA. He has qualified for the UGC-NET examination and has developed interdisciplinary expertise in finance, taxation, banking, insurance, marketing, education, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainable development.

He has published more than 100 research papers, book chapters, and scholarly contributions in areas such as Goods and Services Tax, financial literacy, women’s investment behaviour, banking, insurance, artificial intelligence, education, teacher satisfaction, MSMEs, and digital adoption. He has also served as a reviewer for reputed journals, including SAGE Open and other international research publications.

His academic excellence has been recognised through several honours, including the National Distinguished Researcher Award, Research Excellence Award, Global Digital Teacher Excellence Award, and Smart Inspirer Award. He is actively involved in professional associations and institutional committees, including the NCC, Alumni Association, library, sports, ISO, and anti-ragging committees.
