Dr. A. Logamadevi is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Botany at NGM College, Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. With over 24 years of experience in teaching, research and academic administration. She has made significant contributions to the fields of Ethnobotany, Plant Taxonomy, Herbal Botany, Microbiology, Medicinal Plants, and Agro-industrial Waste Recycling. She is a recognized Ph.D. and M.Phil. Research Supervisor under Bharathiar University and has successfully supervised 12 M.Phil. scholars and 1 Ph.D. scholar who have been awarded their respective degrees. She is a notable Tamil science writer, author and translator, committed to popularizing scientific knowledge in the Tamil language. She has authored and translated numerous books on botany, science and literature, translated scientific content for the University of Arizona’s Tamil science initiative, and has received several literary and academic honours for her outstanding contributions to science communication, research and Tamil literature.
