N G M College Professor Secures ICSSR Research Grant for Women-Led Development
POLLACHI (2026) — Dr. R. Gayathri, Associate Professor in the UG Department of Commerce with International Business at NGM College, has been selected for a prestigious research project under the ICSSR Punyashloka Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Special Call.
The initiative, which focuses on “Women-Led Research for Women-Led Development,” has greenlit Dr. Gayathri’s study (File No. 36/WLD-2025-721/SCD) titled:
“The role of Stand-Up India in Enhancing Economic Empowerment and Work-life Harmony among Women Entrepreneurs.”
Key Highlights of the Research:

Focus: Evaluating the impact of the federal “Stand-Up India” scheme on female business owners.

Objectives: Assessing both financial independence (economic empowerment) and the ability to balance professional growth with personal well-being (work-life harmony).
