In accordance with the UGC (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, NGM College has established the Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC). This cell serves as a guardian of inclusivity, ensuring that every student—regardless of their social, financial, or physical background—has equal access to the college’s resources and opportunities.

🤝 Administration: Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)

Overview

The EOC at NGM College is dedicated to creating an environment of “Social Equity.” It specifically focuses on the welfare of students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan). The cell works to eliminate all forms of discrimination and provides support to help marginalized students achieve academic and professional parity with their peers.

  • Academic Support: To organize remedial coaching and bridge courses for students who require additional academic assistance.

  • Information Dissemination: To act as a central hub for information regarding government scholarships, fellowships, and welfare schemes.

  • Empowerment: To conduct training in communication skills and personality development to enhance employability.

The EOC is headed by an Anti-Discrimination Officer (as per UGC guidelines) and includes representatives from various departments.
