B.Sc. – Computer Technology

Duration: 3 Years
Eligibility:

The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Technology offered by Bharathiar University is an industry-focused three-year undergraduate program structured across six semesters, precisely designed to merge computational software design with computer hardware architectures and network engineering. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have successfully completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C. / 10+2 standard) examination from a recognized educational board, with Computer Science or Mathematics as a mandatory part of their curriculum. Following the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and featuring mandatory industry-aligned “Naan Mudhalvan” skill-enhancement modules, the comprehensive curriculum balances software foundations—like C, C++, Java, Python, and Data Structures—with infrastructure technology papers. Students gain intense theoretical and laboratory training in Computer Architecture, Microprocessors and Interfacing, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Database Management Systems (DBMS), and Cloud Computing. This hybrid software-hardware integration equips graduates with versatile technical and troubleshooting capabilities, preparing them for specialized global tech roles as system engineers, hardware-software integration specialists, network administrators, cloud support analysts, and software developers.
