Myself Dr. D. Sowmiya, Assistant professor in the PG and Research Department of Botany at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College, Pollachi since 2016. I obtained my Undergraduate degree, in Botany (2013) with first class- distinction from Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College, Pollachi. I completed my Post-graduation with first class- distinction (2015) and Master of Philosophy in Botany (2017) from Government Arts College, Coimbatore. I completed my Doctor of Philosophy (2024) in PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore. I have attended more than 100 National and International workshops and seminars. I have delivered a lectures including the in-service training programme for secondary grade science teachers supported by Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Techology, Chennai and many others. I have undergone many International Faculty Development Programmes and I have presented more than 10 papers in International and National Conferences. I have contributed 10 research articles to the scientific community as corresponding author and co- author in reputed journals. I have submitted 6 articles as book chapter and I received 3 students project from TNSCST.
