Department of Mathematics -AIDED

“Mathematics is the language with which God has written the Universe”– Galileo

Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1959 with the B.Sc., programme and then upgraded as the Post Graduate Department in the year 1979. Introduction of research programmes; M.Phil., in 1983 and Ph.D., in 1992 enriched it. The Department has competent faculties, actively involved in teaching, learning and research. Our alumni have occupied leading positions in top ranked industries and premier institutes across the globe. The Department is deeply involved in research and shares the knowledge and transfers it to the academic through publications, collaborations, lectures and so on. In the last two decades Department was instrumental to 203 M.Phil., and 26 Ph.D., holders. Our faculty members have published above 130 research articles in reputed International and National journals and presented more than 150 research papers in the International and National level conferences and seminars. Recently the department is supported by NBHM through annual library grant for purchase of books.
