POLLACHI, October 3, 2025 – The NGM College Women’s Kabaddi team has achieved remarkable success, clinching victories in both the prestigious CM Trophy (District Level) and the Bharathiar University Inter-Collegiate Championship (C Zone). The team’s dedication and skill were on full display as they dominated their opponents throughout both competitions.
In the keenly contested CM Trophy, the NGM College team showcased exceptional prowess. They secured a decisive victory in the semi-final match against Kumara Guru, with a final score of 35-26. The momentum carried into the finals, where NGM College edged out Rathinam College in a thrilling encounter, ultimately winning 34-30 to claim the district championship title.
The winning streak continued at the Bharathiar University Inter-Collegiate Championship (C Zone). The team delivered a commanding performance in the semi-finals, defeating STC College with a resounding score of 53-24. They maintained their dominance in the finals, triumphing over Rathinam College once again, this time with a remarkable score of 58-35, to secure the university zone championship.
The remarkable achievements of the NGM Sports Academy’s Kabaddi women’s team were a cause for celebration within the college. Yesterday, October 2nd, the team received heartfelt congratulations from the highly respected President of NGM College for their outstanding performance in both tournaments.
