S. Dilip Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications at NGM College (Autonomous), Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, with over 15 years of teaching experience in Computer Science and Computer Applications. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Bharathiar University, with research focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision. He holds an M.Phil. in Computer Science, an MCA, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science.
His academic interests include AI-driven computer vision, intelligent healthcare systems, poultry disease detection, image processing, and deep learning-based object detection. He has published research papers in Scopus-indexed, peer-reviewed, and UGC-recognized journals, contributed book chapters, and presented papers at several national and international conferences.
Beyond teaching and research, he actively contributes to academic administration through roles such as Placement Coordinator, NSS Programme Officer, ERP and UMIS Coordinator, Board of Studies Member, and NAAC committee member. He has also delivered invited guest lectures on Artificial Intelligence and innovation.
Committed to continuous professional development, he has participated in numerous faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars, and webinars. His passion for research, innovation, student mentoring, and community engagement reflects his dedication to academic excellence and technology-driven education.
