IQAC Overview

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been functioning in the college since its first accreditation. As a post-accreditation quality-sustenance measure, the IQAC channels the efforts and measures of the institution towards academic excellence and acts as the nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities.

Functions of IQAC

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks / parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organisation of workshops and seminars on quality-related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • Documentation of the various programmes and activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  • Development and maintenance of an institutional database through MIS for maintaining and enhancing institutional quality.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC.

Objectives

  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalisation of quality culture and institutionalisation of best practices.
