B.Com. -Business Process Service

The Bachelor of Commerce in Business Process Services (B.Com. BPS) program offered by Bharathiar University is a highly distinct, industry-integrated three-year undergraduate degree structured across six semesters, engineered in collaboration with top IT-BPS leaders like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to bridge the gap between traditional commerce education and global corporate operations. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have successfully passed their Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C. / 10+2 standard) examination under any academic or vocational stream from a recognized board, with a preference for students who have studied Commerce and Accountancy. Operating under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and aligned with the state government’s mandatory “Naan Mudhalvan” skill development framework, the contemporary curriculum uniquely infuses core accounting disciplines with specialized operational verticals. Students undergo comprehensive study and hands-on laboratory training in Finance & Accounting for BPS, Insurance for BPS, Banking for BPS, Retail Market Research, Supply Chain Management, and specialized software modules like data analysis using SPSS and MS Office. This career-centric corporate alignment fosters exceptional data management, communication, and analytical problem-solving capabilities, directly preparing graduates for lucrative, immediate placement tracks within multinational business process houses, global capability centers, commercial banking institutions, and corporate financial sectors.
